Mom's Advise On Gossip
Ask yourself: Is it Kind? Is it True? Is it Necessary?
It was over seventy years ago that Mom began teaching me to speak of others only after filtering my words by answering her three questions:
Is it Kind?
Is it True?
Is it Necessary?
While I've gotta admit I've come up short of Mom's goal many a time, at least being aware of and trying to practice what she preached has often kept me out of trouble.
If you want to have some fun, inject Mom's pearl into the conversation the next time you find yourself in a group enjoying roast preacher or maybe even roast politician. 😇
